Location: Charleroi (Belgium)

Flight rotations: 17/4 rotation - Flying out on a Monday evening, returning on Thursday afternoon.

Our client is a leader in international engineering, supported by a workforce of over 4,500 professionals across multiple regions including Ireland, the UK, Europe, the Nordics, and the Middle East.

We're looking for several Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support the build out of their Mechanical Quality & Commissioning teams to cope with the influx of work that they have running concurrently across the European market at the moment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the commissioning of mechanical systems for assigned projects
  • Coordinate with project teams to plan schedules and meet deadlines
  • Test and calibrate HVAC, plumbing, BAS, and related systems to ensure proper performance
  • Identify and resolve issues or system deficiencies during commissioning
  • Work with engineers and contractors to implement effective solutions
  • Keep clear and accurate records of tests, procedures, and system performance
  • Prepare detailed commissioning reports for internal and client use
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and addressing questions
  • Ensure client satisfaction with system functionality and final outcomes
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate systems smoothly into the overall project

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience commissioning mechanical systems in industrial or commercial settings
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and related systems
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning work
