Location: RAF Lakenheath
Contract: Full time FTC until Aug 2023, continuation to full time employment potentially negotiable possibly around London/ Cambridge
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the current site team supporting them in managing and coordinating the works of a specialist aircraft painting turnkey contractor. Whilst this role is specific to this project. There may be further opportunity to work as a mechanical engineer on other Kier projects and make the position permanent at the end of the FTC (or earlier)
Your day to day at RAF Lakenheath will include:
- Managing the works and ensuring compliance with the contract standards and specifications. This will include programme, meetings, reports, and inspections.
- Ensuring the works are integrated into the overall works packages and be the point of contact for this package within the project delivery team
- Management of testing and commissioning procedures
- Reporting progress against programme and management of change control with package QS
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- Sound Mechanical knowledge and background
- Accurate reporting and flagging of potential issues
