We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Utilities team based at our Mogden Treatment works site in Twickenham, the UK's 3rd largest treatment works. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to an exciting major project, company car or allowance and private healthcare, and even more!

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working in our Utilities team to provide mechanical expertise on projects at our Mogden site, which is a project operating within the water industry. You'll help implement design solutions the UK's largest treatment works, alongside the supply chain, product suppliers, framework suppliers, and designers.


What you'll be doing:

  • Establishing client requirements and helping with the delivery of engineering design solutions.
  • Applying technical judgment to investigations, feasibility studies, concept and scheme designs, and the construction support phase of projects.
  • Engaging with the supply chain and supporting the contractor procurement process.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders including the client-side, internal and supply chain to ensure project outcomes are achieved, as well as organising shut down methodology in a timely fashion.

Who are we looking for?

This Mechanical Engineer role is great for you if have:

  • A HND / HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Good knowledge of package mechanical equipment - such as any or all of the following: pumps, submersibles, air blowers, gas works, holding tanks, washwater systems etc
  • If you've not worked in the water industry before, then we still want to hear from you if you've worked in gas, oil or nuclear or similar.
