Protocol are pleased to present a FANTASTIC full time (37hrs per week) permanent opportunity at a FE college based in Lancashire.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to start as soon as possible although notice periods will be considered.
As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning development and student support. You will teach on a range of courses at level 1 to level 3 including full time and part time apprentices.

Role responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering Mechanical Engineering courses between levels 1 - 3
Setting, assessing and recording of learners' work according to the procedures outlined by the appropriate awarding body
Assisting the Head of Studies on all matters relating to quality, curriculum and resources
Implement and promote curriculum development, participating in course reviews and evaluations and other curriculum procedures as required, coordinating the team where appropriate
Liaise with internal and external bodies including awarding bodies examination boards etc as appropriate
Undertake continuous professional development as necessary to keep up to date with initiatives and practice and complete mandatory training.
To positively contribute to a safe learning and work environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Safeguarding Policy and procedure.
The person & qualifications
You must hold a formal teaching qualification
You must have experience delivering level 3 Mechanical Engineering
You must hold a minimum level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
You must have experience of working with 14 - 19 provision.
Having a Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable but not essential
Holding an Assessor Award is desirable but not essential
You must have a valid DBS on the update Service or be willing to undertake a new one
