The college are seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer on a full time, temporary basis up until the October half term.

With links to leading universities and established professionals, the college courses have been developed with an emphasis on employability and aim to provide learners with the relevant academic and practical skills needed to succeed within the workplace. Many of the programmes are vocationally based and offer the students opportunities to apply what they have learnt in class to real job roles within the industry.

We are seeking an individual who is available for an immediate start, and who can commit to 37 hours per week teaching Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be providing cover for the colleges Mechanical Engineering students up to BTEC and EAL level 3 and so must have previous experience of delivering this qualification previously. In return for your experience and your proven ability to engage students and delivering a high standard of teaching, you will receive full support to succeed and a competitive hourly rate of pay!

Role responsibilities
*To effectively produce and manage every learner's individual learning plan to ensure that they achieve their highest potential.
*Develop high-quality, learning materials.
*To positively engage all learners within classes using a range of effective techniques; allowing no learner to 'opt out'.
*To ensure that support staff, are effectively briefed prior to the start of each session, so that group and individual learning can be maximised.
*To ensure that teaching is always positive, engaging, stimulating, effective and progress
focused for all individuals and groups, and is designed to re-engage and enthuse every learner.
*To provide every learner with frequent, regular and effective progress feedback on work produced in class, and work completed outside of class.
*To fully engage with all necessary College systems, including (and not limited to) web registers
*Ensure appropriate plans and resources are available, for example, the required planning documents are completed and full lesson planning is available, to enable classes to be covered in the absence of the post holder.

*Teaching qualification
