Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda
Breedon are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter at Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, North Wales.
The role will involve carrying out pro-active maintenance duties on a busy slate quarry and associated equipment, as well as responding to plant breakdowns. Other duties will include planned preventative maintenance to ensure plant and equipment on site are safe, working effectively and fit for purpose. You will work with the Aggregates management to maintain high plant availability and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a fixed and mobile plant fitter within an extractive or heavy industrial environment and have a full UK driving licence. It is desirable that you are qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and have experience in maintaining crushers and screens, conveyor repairs, welding/fabrication, confined space work and working at heights
As well as working as part of our existing maintenance team, you will also be required on occasion to work on your own using your own initiative, so it is important you have good problem-solving skills. Some weekend work will be required.
