Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within the Dudley area - Electrical Bias.

You'll be responsible for fixing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems at three healthcare sites in the Dudley area. Sometimes, you might need to travel to other nearby locations if help is needed.

Your main tasks include:

Doing routine maintenance and repairs when something breaks.

Talking with the helpdesk to get details about repair jobs.

Handling small installation tasks and making sure systems run properly.

Keeping paperwork and records up to date.

Managing outside contractors and safety documents when needed.

Making sure repairs are done safely and to a high standard.

Reporting any problems or delays to your manager.

Ordering parts when needed and making sure the requests are clear.

Being available for emergency call-outs and weekend work if needed.

You'll be working in healthcare buildings, so professionalism and quality are important. You'll be given all the tools, uniform, a work vehicle, and a phone to do your job.


Skills required;

    IEE 18th Edition (essential)

    Basic plumbing and pipework (desirable)

    Pressure systems

    Carpentry

    IPAF 3a & 3b (desirable)

    Health & safety awareness

    Legionella awareness

    Knowledge of LV electrical systems

    Confined space (desirable)

    HTM authorised/responsible persons (an advantage)

    Proficient in IT software including Word and Excel

    Ability to work effectively under pressure

    Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Experience in a customer-focused environment

    Confident and positive attitude

    Reliable and flexible

    Customer-focused approach
