The Role of Mechanical Fitter

Maintain power station plant and equipment
PPM and breakdown maintenance
Keep records and reports of maintenance activities
Perform fault diagnosis on plant and equipment
Liaise with other teams in production performance issues
Maintaining heavy mechanical plant
Pressure and hydraulic systems
Working to safety procedures and practices

Using various welding techniques
The Right Mechanical Fitter Essential

Completed a recognised apprenticeship
City & Guilds Part III, NVQ level 3 and Key Skills or equivalent
IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
CCNSG
Hydraulic Plant Experience
Pneumatic and Pressure Systems

BTEC National Certificate in an engineering
MEWP Driving Certificate
IPAF Certificate
