Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Package Engineer, you'll be working in our Utilities team to provide mechanical expertise on projects at our Mogden site, which is a project operating within the water industry. You'll help implement design solutions the UK's largest treatment works, alongside the supply chain, product suppliers, framework suppliers, and designers.
What you'll be doing:
- Establishing client requirements and helping with the delivery of engineering design solutions.
- Applying technical judgment to investigations, feasibility studies, concept and scheme designs, and the construction support phase of projects.
- Engaging with the supply chain and supporting the contractor procurement process.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders including the client-side, internal and supply chain to ensure project outcomes are achieved, as well as organising shut down methodology in a timely fashion.
This Mechanical Engineer role is great for you if have:
- A HND / HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Good knowledge of package mechanical equipment - such as any or all of the following: pumps, submersibles, air blowers, gas works, holding tanks, washwater systems etc
- Experience of project management
- If you've not worked in the water industry before, then we still want to hear from you if you've worked in gas, oil or nuclear or similar.
