General Responsibility - Manage Package from inception to completion.

Below is a list of typical duties but is not exclusive of all duties that are required to be carried out during the project.

High level Design Review -

  • Review Package and Raise RFIs - Assess the scope of the package and generate high-level Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Develop Package Overview - Create a summary or overview of the package.
  • Create High-Level Programme - Develop a high-level, package-specific schedule.
  • Compile Equipment List/Material Takeoff - Prepare a list of required equipment and materials.
  • Technical Submittal Schedule - Plan and schedule the submission of technical documents.
  • Interfacing Review - Review and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines.

Subcontractor Selection -

  • Develop and Issue Tender Pack - Create the tender package and send it to the commercial team for pricing.
  • Answer RFIs - Respond to any Requests for Information (RFIs) from potential subcontractors.
  • Tender Analysis and Recommendations - Analyze the tender responses and make recommendations for selecting subcontractors.
  • Onboarding - Facilitate the onboarding process for selected subcontractors.

Detailed Design Development -

  • Develop Programme with Subcontractor - Create a schedule with subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
  • Weekly Meetings - Set up and hold weekly meetings with subcontractors to review progress.
  • Design Development - Develop and finalize the design, including technical submittals, RFIs, calculations, layouts, interface management, and BIM coordination.
  • Meeting Attendance - Attend all necessary coordination meetings (BIM, Mechanical, MEP, Interface).
  • BIM Coordination - Ensure BIM coordination includes plant replacement strategies and maintenance access.
  • Weekly Reporting - Provide weekly reports to the Mechanical or MEP lead.

Build & Testing -

  • Weekly Progress Report - Compile weekly reports showing progress and highlight risks. Include a weekly photographic diary of the project.
  • Site Safety Management - Work with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor on site safety.
  • Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Culture - Promote a strong culture focused on quality, health, safety, and the environment.

Project Schedule and Cost Management:

  • Manage the project schedule and costs with the Project Manager and Commercial team.
  • Oversee material deliveries, equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Ensure proper change management.

Site Operations and Sub-Contractor Management:

  • Oversee daily site operations and sub-contractor activities.
  • Manage the snagging system and track labor hours.
  • Attend various meetings and maintain sub-contractor documentation.
  • Schedule and track material deliveries.

Commissioning -

  • Assist Information Handover - Help the commissioning team with the handover of information related to your package.
  • Support Commissioning Team - Collaborate with the commissioning team to ensure all snags (issues) are addressed and resolved promptly by your subcontractor.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Project Management
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
  • Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experienced in design and build
  • Good technical knowledge of Mechanical systems
