Position: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Cork

Salary: NEG

Our client is an internationally recognised Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with a well-established presence in Ireland, the UK and across Europe, working with excellent clients across various sectors such as Datacentres, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Industrial and Commercial; are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a large Project based in Cork.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Project Coordination; Coordination Drawing Production.
  • Project Commissioning & Handover
  • Managing Building Management Systems Subcontractors
  • Managing Direct Labour Force and Subcontractors
  • Project Cost Control
  • Project Cashflows
  • Project Valuations
  • HVAC Subcontractor Cost Management, Monthly certification & payment
  • RIAI & GDLA form of Contracts and their application.
  • Pricing & submitting Variations/ Change Orders & maintaining Variation / Change Order Schedules
  • Final Account Preparation, Negotiation & agreement
  • LPHW, Chilled Water, Process pipework, compressed air & gas pipework costing.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience working in the M&E Construction environment
  • Should have 3 - 5 years' experience of which 2 years + experience as Project Engineer in Construction
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
