KME are an internal MEP self-delivery business within the Kier group, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on complex and challenging projects that range from £5m to £80m. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability. The business has been operating for over 50 years with a track record for delivering on developing staff, repeat business and successful projects.
Kier Mechanical & Electrical are looking to recruit an MEP BIM Information Manager to join their Pre-Construction team in Basingstoke.
Key Responsibilities
This role will focus on supporting the information management process across projects, ensuring compliance with industry/Kier standards and meeting client requirements. Within the role, you will report progress and highlight any risk to the business unit/project to ensure support is given to achieve accelerated adoption of digital construction techniques.
Duties and responsibilities within the role will include but not be limited to:

Support bid teams with responses to BIM related questions in ITT/Tender submissions

Ensure Client's Exchange Information Requirements are responded to and delivered against

Ensure that the BIM Execution Plan and other documents/resources are being adhered to and support the delivery team where appropriate

Ensure the use of the common data environment process to manage and exchanging information, adhering to the methodology of ISO 19650-1 & 2

Supporting the project team(s) with fulfilling standards, methods and procedures using specified software and workflows

Contribute content towards the production of monthly reports to identify and measure BIM implementation within projects
-
Observe the digital information plan/strategies that are being implemented for business unit/project and provide feedback to Project BIM Manager to ensure progress is being made

Raise awareness and inform others of BIM within business unit/project functional departments including Business Development, Work Winning, Estimating, Design Management, Building Services, Commercial, Planning, Operational and SHEA
What do we need from you?
For this role, we're looking for an individual who is experienced with BIM within the construction industry and who is a Sophisticated and collaborative influencer with the ability to navigate a complex client, supply chain and external stakeholder landscape.
Applicants are expected to have the following skills and attributes:

Sound understanding of the PAS 1192 suite of documents and ISO 19650 series

Knowledge of openBIM standards such as IFC and COBie to support information interoperability

Ability to coordinate and manage own workload supporting project delivery

Enthusiastic and keen to use new technologies to improve traditional ways of working
-
Innovate by sharing ideas and challenging standard practices
-
Understanding and experience of appropriate software tools to view and interrogate models
-
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365
