Mid-weight Interior designer Job in New Milton, Hampshire

Currently seeking a Mid-weight Interior Designer with a strong background in workplace design to join a practice based in New Milton, Hampshire. With a growing pipeline of work, our client is looking to expand their team of designers. The role will see you work across all stages and liaise directly with clients from a wide range of sectors.

Established in 2008, the practice operates under a number of divisions and have gone from strength to strength over the years. This is a creative design role within the design & build sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further their skills and work across all stages from concept through to installation, liaising with both clients and contractors under the guidance and support of senior members of the team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce highly detailed and accurate concept design work
  • Use AutoCAD and/or Revit for technical drawings and design detailing
  • Attend/lead client briefs with senior members of the team and support them with advising/note taking
  • To understand and work within the company's design standards and required specifications
  • Attend site visits/sub-contractor meetings alongside other members of the team
  • Develop and deliver client pitch presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture - desirable, not essential
  • 2-5 years of experience working in conceptual design within the Design & Build sector
  • Good understanding of relevant building regulations and industry standards
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E and suppliers
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project price-points
  • Competent using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp Adobe CS, and MS Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
