Mid-Weight Interior Designer Job in NW London

A unique opportunity is available for a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join an expanding workplace design firm with a contemporary approach to design and the environments they create. This role is best suited to a confident designer that has around 5 years' experience in workplace/commercial design & build or consultancy and is looking for a long term role with strong career progression opportunities.

This newly established firm specialise in creating flexible workspaces designed for short-lease occupancy for a wide range of clients across the UK. The practice provides a range of services which include design and build, branding and digital services. Typical projects range from 8,000 - 50,000sqft and the firm will also partner with some of the most well-known firms across the UK to further strengthen their capacity.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on creating the concept and design process for projects, including mood boards and presentations
  • Technical design and creation of drawing packages
  • FF&E specification, selection, and procurement
  • Project manage from concept through to completion
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Work closely with the directors to understand and have input into the create direction of the company's portfolio of work
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of client presentations
  • Site visits

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • 5+ years' experience working in commercial/workplace design, D&B or consultancy
  • Strong technical skills, proficient in either AutoCAD or Revit
  • Experience with Adobe Suite and MS Office. Other software skills such as SketchUp are beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with clients/contractors directly and assist with presentations
  • On-site experience
