Kier Places are recruiting now for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Electrician in Staffordshire, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the Staffordshire Police OPCC, covering 38 sites across Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused and reactive Mobile Multi-Skilled Electrician, we will look to you to carry out electrical PPM (pre planned maintenance), reactive repairs, remedial works, small installations, testing of emergency lights, completion of relevant electrical certificates, and basic plumbing repairs, within small, medium, and large sites across the Staffordshire region, to multiple client sites including Police HQ Offices & Police Stations.
You will also be responsible for carrying out surveys and complete reports as required by management, and ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date.
This will involve completing works of Electrical nature, e.g., lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations; as well as testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations. You will be trusted in assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
What do we need from you?
We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrician who is a Qualified Electrician (e.g., Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ) with 18th Edition qualification, and is able to demonstrate general Engineer competence. As a bonus, you may have Inspect & Test (2391), PASMA, Working At Height, IPAF certification, and L8 Legionella awareness.
Due to the nature of this position, you should have a full UK driving licence, be happy travelling across the county to difference sites, and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends (currently around 1 week in 5).
