Location: Covering South London sites- from City of London, to Battersea, to Forest Hill, to Greenwich
Business Area: Facilities Management - London Fire & Rescue Authority
Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Package: Company van + standby & call out, including out of hours & weekends
Kier Places are recruiting today for a Mobile Electrician, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the London Fire & Rescue Authority.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused Mobile Electrician, we will look to you to attend and complete reactive works within the contract KPIs. This will involve completing quoted works of Electrical nature, e.g. lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations; as well as testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations. You will be trusted in assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
The main duties of this position will be reactive focused and to charge time out each day accordingly, but you will be asked to help with Planned Preventative Maintenance if needed.
What do we need from you?
We're looking for a Qualified Electrician (e.g., Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ) with 18th Edition and Inspect and Test (2391), and is able to demonstrate general Engineer competence. As a bonus, you may have PASMA, Working At Height, IPAF certification, and L8 Legionella awareness., as well as Double poll lighting experience.
Due to the nature of this position, you should have a full UK driving licence, be happy travelling across the county to different sites, and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
