Location: South-West England - Gloucester to Taunton, ideally based in Bristol

Business Area: Facilities Management - Ministry of Justice

Contract: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £30-36k + van, standby & call out, including out of hours & weekends

Kier Places are recruiting today for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Electrician, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the Ministry of Justice, covering 32 sites in the South-West of England.


Key Responsibilities

As a focused and reactive Mobile Multi-Skilled Electrician you will deliver a combination of electrical, mechanical, water and building fabric Planned, Reactive and extra works engineering services specialising in electrical disciplines, across a region, and to multiple client sites including Approved Premises & Probation Offices. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.

This will involve completing quoted works of Electrical nature, e.g. lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations. This will also require testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations.


What do we need from you?

The successful candidate for this role should be a Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition qualification, be Inspect & Test (2391) qualified, and be able to demonstrate general Engineer competence. As a bonus you may also have PASMA, IPAF certification, and L8 Legionella awareness.

Due to the nature of this position, you should have a full UK driving licence, be happy travelling across the region to difference sites, and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
