Commercial Software Limited is a small, successful software house based in Sussex. We have been providing specialist people management software for large global clients for 40 years. We develop, maintain and support our own range of products which are based around our own proprietary framework. We also undertake regular bespoke development projects for our clients based around our framework. Clients within our group range from small local businesses to large global corporates and our current client base includes BP, KPMG, Crowe, Strutt & Parker and many others.

Due to continued growth we are looking to hire a talented and experienced mobile software developer to join our friendly team to help maintain and support existing solutions as well as contribute to new development projects across our group.

Typical activities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance and change request work on existing products
  • Documentation of existing and new projects
  • Prototyping and development of new solutions
  • Technical support to end users
  • Quality assurance work

Candidates should be well versed in working with C# and Xamarin solutions. Working on the full software development lifecycle you will have a passion for your work, enjoy exploring everything mobile, and want to contribute to a successful team.

Furthermore, you will also have excellent communication and relationship building skills and an ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.

Technical requirements:

  • .NET MAUI / Xamarin
  • Cordova / Android development / iOS development
  • C# .NET
  • NET Webform
  • HTML / CSS
  • MS SQL / SQLite
  • Source Control (Ideally SVN)
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
  • Clear verbal and competent written communicator with good interpersonal skills

  • Mac / Xcode
  • Telerik experience
  • WebAPI
  • Web Services
  • Angular 4
  • Customer liaison skills
  • Willingness to work with new ideas
  • Front-end / UI / UX experience will count strongly in your favour

The company is located in offices near Haywards Heath railway station and offers a great working environment, competitive salary and training support. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a small, friendly company that offers global development projects where you can grow your skill set in addition to applying your current .Net development skills.

Standard hours of work: 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday, although candidates will be expected to be flexible outside of these hours on occasion. Some travel to client sites may be required occasionally. Hybrid working available and the company offers family friendly working patterns if required.
