Location: Covering 9 Fire Stations from Romford to Canary Wharf to Mitcham to Orpington

Contract: Permanent, full time + standby/out of hours on-call rota (1 week in 4)

Kier Places are recruiting today for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, the London Fire & Rescue Authority, covering 9 Fire Stations in Dagenham, Leytonstone, Plaistow, Shadwell, Dockhead, Old Kent Road, Mitcham, Purley, and Orpington.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused and reactive Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be attending and completing reactive works within the contract KPIs. This will involve completing quoted works such as EML testing, tap temperature testing, expansion vessel PPM, extractor fan PPM, shower descales, pipework checks, ducting inspections, kitchen grease filter cleaning, monthly generator testing, and general PPM duties.
The main duties of this position will be reactive focused and to charge time out each day accordingly, but you will be asked to help with Planned Preventative Maintenance if needed.
What do we need from you?
The successful Multi-Skilled Engineer for this role should be competent in general engineer works, with a multi-skilled background or bias towards mechanical / electrical trades with relevant qualifications, and be able to demonstrate general Engineer competence.
Ideally, you should also have PASMA / IPAF certification, and L8 Legionella awareness.
Due to the nature of this role & contract portfolio, you should have a full driving licence, be prepared to conduct regular travel across the East & South London day-to-day, and be able to participate in the out of hours & weekends emergency on-call out rota. The rota is currently 1 week in every 4 weeks.
