Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Ideally based in Manchester, covering circa 10+ Kier offices across North-West England, North-East England, West England, and Wales
Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Management - Corporate Estate North
Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Package: £28-32k with company van + attend out of hours & weekend maintenance
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our North Corporate Facilities Management team to maintain the offices & buildings that houses our Kier Group Services, Highways, Construction, Places, Infrastructure, & Utilities teams. This main aim of this position is to provide planned preventative (PPM) & reactive maintenance services to circa 10 buildings (plus any future sites added to the portfolio of Kier Corporate buildings) across Manchester, Yorkshire, Lancashire, West Midlands, Wales & surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused and trusted Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer, we will look to you to carry out mechanical, electrical & fabric planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the estate portfolio; ensure all M&E plant equipment data is kept up to date; assist in the statutory compliance of the estate; and ensure positive working relationships across our clients, customers, and office staff.
What do we need from you?
To join Kier as a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll have the relevant industry qualifications with fault finding and planned maintenance experience, with the ability to conduct first line response of M&E equipment, ranging from AHUs, air conditioning, boilers, pumps, pressurisation units, generators, fire alarm, security, and access control systems. Therefore, you should hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018 / Level 3 C&G 2382) certificate; Initial Verification of (2391-50), and Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certifications of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-51 or equivalent) certificate.
Ideally, you'll have a Level 3 Mechanical qualification or Electrical qualification (Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds 2360, 2330, 2356, 2357, AM1/AM2, or equivalent); and as a bonus, you may have Working at Height/PASMA/IPAF certification.
Due to the nature of this position, you should have a full UK driving licence, be happy travelling across the region to different sites, and be able to attend out of hour callouts, and supervise maintenance works planned for out of hours and weekends.
