Kier Housing Maintenance (HM) have long standing partnership agreements with housing associations, local authorities and private landlords to conduct responsive repairs and planned maintenance across various sites. Our commitment to our clients has resulted in us being shortlisted for Contractor of the Year at the UK Housing Awards 2020. The Gosport contract has been with Kier for over 10 years, and is currently at the end of it's first year of a 5 year extentions. Some come join our well established team in Gosport.
Kier Places are recruiting today for a Multi Trade Technician, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Housing Maintenance repair & servicing solution for our prestigious client, Gosport Borough Council. This role will be providing planned & reactive maintenance in social housing tenanted & void residential properties managed by the council.
Key Responsibilities
As a Multi Trade Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking all manner of maintenance & repair work in domestic properties, to a high level "right first time" basis in a cost-effective manner. Day-to-day work will range from joinery, plaster patching, plumbing, wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling, groundworks, and brickwork patching.
What do we need from you?
The successful Multi Trade Technician candidate will ideally possess a core trade with relevant qualifications (i.e. NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent), and have a wealth of experience covering the variety of building maintenance & repair work. You should have experience in a similar role on social housing contracts, and hold a full UK driving licence - it would be a bonus if have Asbestos Awareness & an appropriate CSCS card.
