Breedon are currently seeking a National Account Manager to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the successful candidate will manage national packed cement sales ensuring sales and pricing targets are achieved in-line with business strategies.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing & managing customer accounts nationally
  • Ensuring national sales and pricing targets are delivered
  • Optimising product range throughout GB to deliver enhanced operational and commercial performance
  • Providing quarterly sales forecast information to line management
  • Building robust and in-depth market knowledge of national & regional packed cement markets for strategic review and enhanced market understanding
  • Managing credit control, recovering debt, resolving queries, and minimising debtor days
  • Driving promotional & point of sale activity for enhanced brand awareness
  • Manage effective methods of influencing our customers and that of the 'end user'.
  • Seek promotional opportunities, influence social media campaigns & attend pertinent trade shows
  • Creating professional and enjoyable working environments and relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Commitment to delivering optimum levels of customer service
  • Lead processes of compliance for packed cement products

Qualifications/experience/skills/knowledge required:

  • GCSE English or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths or equivalent
  • Experience in external customer facing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent commercial acumen including the ability to understand profit and loss, and margin performance
  • Strong and confident presentation skills
  • Proven profit-focussed strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial flair
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work closely and effectively with a group of people at all levels
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent engagement skills
  • Good knowledge of core IT systems, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Project & Visio
  • Highly organised and driven with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • Excellent market knowledge, and the ability to respond to changes in market dynamics and adapt accordingly
