National Business Development Manager, Heavy Lifting Solutions
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team at Notus. The role will be national (UK) with occasional international travel when required. Notus Heavy Lift Solutions is a leader in the provision of lifting and transport services, specialists in delivering Heavy Lift & Transport Consultancy services, Lifting Assurance, Planning and Execution of Lifting Operations.
We are a growing business that provides excellent customer services through innovation, excellence in engineering and real project experience. We are looking for a professional, focused and well-presented individual to join the business to help us reach new clients and support the development of new business with our existing client base.
Key Accountability
- Build a high-quality sales opportunity pipeline for the allocated sectors. Focusing on engaging with new potential clients and new business with our existing clients.
- Achieve revenue and margin targets as determined by the business.
- Self-motivated and excellent time management.
- Closely with management to develop sales strategy.
- Develop Annual Sales Budget.
- Establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with key decision makers and stake holders at senior level.
- Work closely with the whole of the Notus team to develop opportunities on existing projects.
- Regular stake holder engagement on existing projects.
- Represent the business as the "single point of contact" for all owned opportunities in the active pipeline.
- Update and manage your pipeline in the CRM system
- Develop a regular report for management.
- Work with Notus Team and assist with writing/contributing/managing PQQ and ITT documents and processes as well as more informal bids.
- Assisting with advertising and marketing strategy
- Involvement in conferences, development of stand design, arranging on site meetings.
- Further development of Sales literature and case studies.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced business developer / relationship builder with a proven track record of success in a b2b sales role. Your experience or expertise should have been gained in the crane / lifting services sector or a closely aligned industry and include managing bids, tenders, writing/contributing/managing PQQ and ITT documents and processes as well as more informal bid management.
You will also need:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong team ethos, self-starting and enthusiastic.
- Clear and concise writing style.
- Experienced with Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask, whilst maintaining an eye for detail.
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate at all levels within the business.
