We're looking for a Network Resilience Manager to join our Highways team based in Shrewsbury. Contract: Full time

Responsibilities

As Network Resilience Manager you'll be working within the team, supporting them delivering the winter service within Shropshire alongside the responsibility for all severe weather events such as flooding, wind events and times of extreme heat.

Your day to day will include:
  • Manage and maintain the contract 'Severe Weather Plan' and developing, implementing and managing incident response and severe weather requirements plans to include resources, whilst targets Manage productivity and quality of all works
  • Ensuring sufficient operational resources and rotas are in place to meet contract SLA, leading on emergency services liaisons on behalf of the service provider and attending regular team meetings (to include sub-consultants) to plan the immediate work, co-ordinate disciplines and identify any areas of concern on deliverables
  • Working with the Finance Manager to ensure forecasts and budgets are managed with accuracy across the contract and cost control procedures are followed to meet and exceed financial
Who are we looking for?

This role of Network Resilience Manager is great for you if you can:
  • Understand highways network operations and asset management and use Viasala
  • Show a familiarity with health & safety and traffic management requirements relating to highways operations
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of highways winter maintenance at a management level and managed teams previously
