Role overview
Breedon is a leading constructions materials group in Great Britain and Ireland, with around 1 billion tonnes of mineral Reserves and Resources. Breedon has a strong growth strategy having significantly expanded in 2020/21 with the acquisition of the Cemex assets, delivering an additional 170 million tonnes.
We are seeking a dedicated Office Facilities Manager to join our Land & Mineral Resources Team based at Breedon on the Hill, Derby.
Reporting to the Regional Land & Mineral Resources Manager, the key responsibilities of the role will be to ensure the safe and efficient running of our offices as well as delivering smooth operations by overseeing key areas such as building and office services and health and safety compliance. You will be responsible for the day-to-day office facilities management at our offices at Breedon and Lockington and you will also ensure that we have the appropriate and consistent facilities management systems in place at all of our offices throughout GB.

You will be educated to degree level in a property-related qualification or have the ability to demonstrate extensive experience in a comparative facilities management role.
You will have proven management ability and be able to demonstrate planning, organisational and communication skills along with the capability to work to deadlines. You will have experience of managing a multi-site office estate, and strong data management and organisational skills.
You will have good verbal and interpersonal skills and excellent written communication skills, along with full knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental practices including relevant H&S legislation.
The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge of commercial procedures relating to specification, competitive quotation and supply as well as purchasing. You will understand and work to commercial procedures for purchasing, tenders/quotations and monitoring of contractors to provide fully auditable records.
