Position: Office Manager

Location - Within 1 hour commute of Oxford

Kier Buildings Central are is looking to appoint an Office Manager to be responsible for the management of project site offices, facilities and support services.

The team and the region: The Gloucester team have completed some outstanding projects to date and have a full order book moving forwards to continue this performance. This friendly and family felt office has a professional and dedicated team, coupled with the performance of Kier Buildings highlights this as a great opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Management and maintenance of the project site offices and the surrounding environment.
  • Management of the IT Support Services provision.
  • Management of office safety procedures. Ensuring that scheduled fire alarm and emergency lighting tests are carried out in all office premises and that adequate Fire Marshals and First Aiders are appointed and available.
  • Management of allocation of work space and office arrangements for new personnel.
  • Management of control and costs for office consumables and office services.
  • Establishment and maintenance of the project consumables storage areas.
  • Management of administration support to ensure adequate support in all areas of the project.
  • Supporting the delivery of office inductions for new personnel and ensuring DSE assessments are carried out.
  • Management of site deliveries and booking in procedures.
  • Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the Kier and AWE Procedures.
  • Responsible for relevant authorisation of invoices for project site offices.
  • Ad-hoc management reporting and information.
  • Establishment & maintenance of Document control system.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
    • Experience of construction site environment is preferred.
    • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
    • First Aid and Fire Safety Awareness.
    • Good standard of education.
    • Previous administrative experience
    • Must be IT literate with understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task
    • Possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills
    • General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible
    • Able to work as an individual and as part of a team
