Key Responsibilities
You will take responsibility for delivering targeted network optimisation across all asset types - including MIDAS, Message Signs, Signals or CCTV. It will be imperative to work closely with the performance team to selectively optimise sections of the network. You will use your experience and knowledge to train, mentor and develop the technology optimisation technicians, work with the technology operations manager(s) to assist in developing the maintenance requirements plan. Collaborate with the performance team to ensure faults are dealt with intelligently. The role is based on a normal 40 hours per week. There may be a requirement for occasional night shifts as required.
What do we need from you?
- Relevant experience in highways technology
- Understanding of Highways England technology systems including TPMS, COBS including subsystems, display equipment, CCTV, digital storage devices and motorway communications
- HERS Sector 8 training relevant to role
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- Understanding and application of current technologies, standards and best practice relating to Highways England`s Motorway and trunk road communications systems
