Are you an experienced buildings structures engineer who would be keen to join an established London design consultancy with highly qualified individuals and an expert team?
This role could suit you!
Mid sized reputable and well established structural engineering firm, based in W1, are so busy with structural work that they need an additional team member. Ideally you will be Chartered MIStructE or MICE.
The firm specialise in all kinds of buildings design schemes, often historic works, conservation or London refurbs.
Typically the firm are involved in commercial, residential, conservation, retail and many other buildings schemes, often working for big name clients.

Join a well-established, RIBA Chartered practice known for its high-quality conservation and bespoke residential projects. Based in a characterful studio in London, this close-knit team of Architects is dedicated to delivering beautiful and historically respectful architectural projects, and they're now looking for an experienced Conservation Architect to join them.
As a key member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with an AABC accredited Architect on exciting projects, including conservation work at Bedford Park, as well as historic refurbishments like the Brunel Pumping Station. This role offers a collaborative and hands-on environment where your ideas are welcomed, and your expertise in conservation will be highly valued.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver conservation and high-end residential projects across all RIBA stages
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and hand sketches, including construction detailing and conservation documentation
- Collaborate with the team to ensure project quality, particularly on listed buildings and heritage sites
- Liaise with local councils, planning authorities, and consultants to secure consents and approvals
- Mentor and supervise junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Architect with a conservation background and a minimum of 5 years post-Part III experience
- Proven experience with conservation projects, including listed buildings and historic sites
- The studio uses Vectorworks, however, this isn't essential and full training will be provided
- Strong hand sketching skills
- Confident in managing projects independently and handling client relationships
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the UK
- Passion for conservation and historical buildings.
What you get back
- £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
- Discretionary bonus
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays and an additional 1-week Christmas shutdown
- Support for professional memberships
- Regular team events, including summer outings and a Christmas meal.

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a leading, dynamic design and environmental practice, specialising in landscape architecture, urban design, landscape planning, biodiversity net gain, arboriculture, ecology and GIS.
Our client is looking for experienced, inspiring Arboricultural Consultants to join the team working with a wide range of clients within the residential, commercial, industrial, education and infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidates will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering a range of arboriculture projects.
You'll need to hold a degree in Arboriculture or related subject, with membership of a relevant professional body such as the Arboricultural Association. You'll have comprehensive experience in an arboricultural consultancy role, with strong knowledge and experience of tree surveying techniques and risk/hazard assessment methodologies, together with a good understanding of current planning and environmental legislation. An excellent communicator, you'll have strong organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) Certificate and flexibility to work away from home on occasion would be advantageous in this role.
