We're looking for a Loft Installer to join a growing team in St Albans. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience who's seeking reliable hours and the chance to progress into a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing various types of loft insulation materials to meet required standards
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation accurately.
  • Preparing loft areas safely and maintaining good ventilation
  • Checking for existing insulation, damp, or damage and reporting any issues.
  • Working safely in confined spaces and following all health and safety procedures
  • Keeping the work area clean and tidy, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Liasing with customers and providing excellent service on-site.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (Cold Roof Insulation)

I am currently working with a well established passive fire company who are looking for a Fire Door Carpenters to join the team in a long term role either working withing South or North London. This role will be working for one of the largest Councils in London focusing mainly on Flat Entrance Fire Doors.

Good progression is available to further your career into supervision, management and higher.

As an FRA Carpenter in the Fire Team you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out door upgrade work and installing certified fire door sets across housing properties.
  • Ensuring all work is compliant with the fire door regulations.
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor for Passive Works and working within a small, specialised team.

Utilise technical expertise, experience in passive and active fire measures, in depth practical knowledge of fire risk assessments and risk mitigation's.

Responsibilities include

  • Promote a positive collaborative culture of building safety and compliance
  • Work across the Building Safety and Compliance team with an emphasis on fire safety elements
  • Responsible to deliver the right outcome for our customer in a safe and timely way
  • Proactively identify any upcoming changes in legislation's, regulations and landlord responsibilities to ensure SNG compliance
  • Review the design of new builds as presented by our development team to ensure that it is suitable and sufficient in line with RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) plan of works
  • Provide technical support across to the fire safety team on passive and active fire installations

We are looking for someone who has

  • Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and work driven through teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up to date knowledge of fire safety legislation
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of fire safety subject matters within the Housing Sector

Qualifications and experience

  • Membership of the IFE / IFSM or an equivalent membership body
  • Up to date knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations
  • Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety
  • Award in Practical Fire Risk Assessment such as IFE of CS Todd
  • Knowledge of methods to monitor the quality of data and identify issues (e.g. reconciliations)

Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator with proven experience in social housing to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our housing and compliance teams to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and excellent service delivery.

You will be responsible for clearing WIP (Work In Progress) reports, managing documentation for compliance and safety, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting via CX or similar housing management systems.

Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the housing and compliance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Monitor, update and clear WIP (Work In Progress) tasks to support timely completions and reduce outstanding cases.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on CX (Civica) housing management system, including compliance certifications, inspections, and repairs.

Assist with the scheduling and coordination of compliance checks (e.g., gas safety, electrical, fire risk assessments).

Produce regular reports and dashboards from CX and Excel to support audits, KPIs, and service reviews.

Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to follow up on outstanding actions or documentation.

Support with documentation control and ensure all compliance-related files are stored correctly and accessible.

Assist with tenant communication in relation to compliance checks, appointments, and follow-ups.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help identify areas for process optimisation.

Essential Requirements: Previous experience in an administrative role within a social housing or property services environment.

Understanding of housing compliance requirements and related regulatory frameworks (e.g., gas, fire, electrical).

Proven experience with clearing WIP reports or managing work orders and tasks to completion.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.

Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data handling and reporting.
