A well established building and refurbishment contractor that specialises in high-end residential projects in the South East is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Quantity Surveyor will work alongside a team that focuses solely on bespoke residential refurbishments in the South East. The company has a strong pipeline of work and is offering a stable, long-term opportunity with excellent support and development prospects.
The company and Quantity Surveyor
Specialising entirely in prime residential refurbishments and bespoke one of new builds they have recently experienced an influx of new projects. They have a turnover or around £150 million+ the company is of large size and has a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional standard of work. They also offer a financially stable future.
Quantity surveyor Role
Projects range from £10 million to £40 million. The projects are some of the best the UK has to offer.
You'll be working on a £15 million refurbishment in Tunbridge Wells - with the pipeline looking likely to increase in the Kent area going forward.
You'll be supported with an on site Senior Quantity Surveyor, Contracts Manager, Site Manager and admin help.
Ideally you will have experience of Prime / Super prime property.
You will be responsible for -

- Attend professional and client meetings
- Assign subcontractors and suppliers aligned with procurement schedule

With responsibilities split between Facilities Management and Asset Management, it contributes to both daily operations and strategic planning aligned with the company's objectives.
Working alongside our maintenance team and a wide range of contractors, you'll deliver effective asset and facilities management across the site, with a strong focus on compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Support site maintenance and facilities services, ensuring safety, cost, programme, and quality targets are met
- Manage day-to-day operations including maintenance, repairs, and site upgrades
- Establish a consistent weekend site management presence

- Degree or HNC in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant engineering discipline
- Proven experience in engineering, asset management, or maintenance operations
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or optimising CMMS platforms
- Demonstrated success in leading asset care strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance
- Familiarity with condition-based monitoring systems and data-driven maintenance decision-making
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including performance development
- Previous experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams
- IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification, applied in engineering or maintenance contexts
- Experience managing compliance records, audits, and regulatory reporting
- Contractor and vendor management experience, including performance oversight and service-level agreements
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities in technical environments
- Understanding of industrial or production-related mechanical/electrical systems and their lifecycle maintenance requirements
- Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets and deliver cost-effective asset care solutions
Additional Development & Scope
Prior experience in soft and hard Facilities Management (FM) is advantageous but not essential. Role Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Allocate and monitor daily tasks and workflows across the site.
- Ensure planned workloads are achieved within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Coordinate fitting out, refurbishment, and maintenance of modular units to meet customer and business needs.
- Procurement of materials and pick sheets.
Team & Contractor Management:
- Supervise internal teams, subcontractors, and Chargehands to ensure consistent performance and output.
