Assistant Quantity Surveyor
In this role, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist in running projects from concept to completion, with an opportunity to act as Employers Agent on selected projects.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
Supporting project delivery across various sectors
Engaging with clients and stakeholders
Preparing and reviewing documentation
Contributing to pre and post contract processes
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements
BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree
Minimum of 1 year's experience
Previous experience as Employers Agent
Experience within a PQS/consultancy environment
Basic knowledge of pre and post contract processes

We're looking for an ambitious, driven, field based, Area Sales Manager to join our successful GB Sales team at Portakabin covering Scotland East.
As an Area Sales Manager you will maximise the area sales turnover of small modular buildings and small modular projects for both new and refurbished buildings, working with existing and new customers through a combination of reactive and pro-active approaches.
You will develop and promote the company's sales business, to include our full range of products and services. The role is target driven and the key focus is on order winning activity.
You will work alongside Bid, Projects, and Service teams, and be a strong communicator, organised, work with accuracy, attention to detail, and have a strong teamwork ethic.
To be successful in this role you will be an exceptionally ambitious, field sales expert with a passion and drive to develop the opportunities and sales within Scotland East. You will thrive off being on the road, going to meet customers and will have had an extensive and exciting career journey with field sales.
Role Responsibilities
*Achieve set targets for sales within area.
*Work within a set of agree KPI's for example visit and order numbers.
*Plan sales coverage of the area to ensure that all customers are contacted at the required frequency.
*Identify and develop new business opportunities and sectors.
*Assume account management responsibilities with nominated clients to ensure key relationships are developed and maintained.
*Work closely with the Marketing Team to actively exploit the sector and client research information provided.
*Ensure information is kept up to date on CRM system.
*Responds quickly to the needs of an audience and to their reactions and feedback.
Essential Criteria for the Area Sales Manager
*Substantial face to face technical sales experience (business to business)
*Experience in developing and maintaining successful client relationships.
*You will have a forward-thinking approach and a clear vision to succeed.
*The strong ability to sell based on relationships and the quality of the product.
*Successful delivery against sales targets and KPIs
*Be a strong communicator, organised, work with accuracy, attention to detail, have a strong teamwork ethic.
*The availability to travel daily and stay over - Full UK driving licence
*Strong experience of carrying out business development activities
*Coping with Pressure & Setbacks
*Working experience using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel

The role will include working for a steadily growing Utilities and ICP company working around Wrexham and the North West.
Responsibilites:
- Excavation and Reinstatement of trenches
- Lead by example to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
- Use of power tools
- Installing Ducting Systems
- Pulling and Laying of Cables
- Interpreting of Utility Drawings, Plans and Cable routes
- Liasoning between Project Managers and RLO's
Requirements:
- Proven experience in civils work within the utilities or ICP sector.
- Supervisory experience or demonstrable leadership ability in a similar role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CSCS card
- Good understanding of utility construction methods and H&S regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (e.g., 360 Excavator, Dumper, Roller).
Salary & Benefits
- Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime rates on On-Call ROTA
