About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join a project with immediate start from Monday 12th. This position is initially based in Darlington/Newcastle for the first week, and after that, the work will be in the Newcastle-Durham area. The role will involve working in social housing properties, so previous experience in this sector would be ideal.

The work will include stripping out kitchens and floors, moving materials, and general tidying up on-site. We are looking for someone who is happy to work in a fast-paced environment and who is proactive in assisting the team with a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities: Stripping out kitchens, floors, and other materials as required.

Moving materials and assisting with deliveries.

Keeping work areas tidy and organised.

Adhering to health and safety standards.

Assisting the team in other general labouring tasks as needed.

Essential Requirements: Own Transport - Must be able to travel to various sites in Darlington, Newcastle, and later Durham.

Asbestos Awareness - Must have valid asbestos awareness certification.

Manual Handling Certification - Minimum manual handling training required.

Must be happy to work in social housing properties and follow any relevant procedures.

Additional Information: Duration: Initially 2 weeks, but with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.

Start Date: Monday 12th (or as soon as possible).

Location Flexibility: Work will be in Darlington/Newcastle for the first week, followed by Newcastle-Durham.

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking cleaner to join the team for an immediate start. This is a temporary role until 31/03/2026, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and maintain high standards of hygiene.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 15:15 - 18:15

Key Responsibilities:

Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard

Sweep, mop, vacuum, polish floors, and empty bins

Wipe and sanitise surfaces and restock washroom supplies

Dust furniture and maintain hygiene throughout the site

Use and store cleaning equipment safely; follow all health & safety procedures

Report any maintenance or safety issues to management

Requirements:

Previous cleaning experience

Reliability and strong work ethic

Enhanced DBS check
