Job Title: Design Manager - Facade Specialist
Location: London (with hybrid working options)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + package (Dependent on experience)

Overview:
We are looking for a detail-driven and experienced Design Manager with a background in facade to join a small to medium-sized contractor delivering a variety of high-end, high-profile projects across London. Their projects span commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, covering both new build and cut-and-carve schemes.
Stonework experience would be a significant advantage, though not essential - however, facade experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process from tender through to construction and project handover
  • Coordinate between in-house teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design packages
  • Review and manage technical drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and facade requirements
  • Proactively identify and resolve design issues and drive value-engineering opportunities
  • Attend design meetings, site visits, and liaise with the commercial and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within the facade industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of façade systems (curtain walling, cladding, glazing etc.)
  • Stonework detailing experience would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with a collaborative approach
  • Comfortable working across various project stages and liaising with all key stakeholders
  • Ability to be site and head office based in London-based projects, with hybrid working flexibility
