As a Transport Planner, you will help bring new developments to life, and your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Producing of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, producing these yourself in addition when required.
- Site access/preliminary junction design using AutoCAD.
- GIS mapping.
- Junction modelling using Junctions software package (ARCADY/PICADY).
- Engage in both internal and external training sessions and design meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the above at a planning/engineering consultancy.

We're now looking for an ambitious individual to join this small, but highly successful team of Building Surveyors. They have a great opportunity on offer for a recent graduate in Building Surveying to train and gain experience with them, whilst working towards gaining your MRICS qualification. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to support on a range of instructions including project work as well as professional surveying such as Building Surveys, dilapidations and due diligence. Work is generally across the midlands area so there will be some travel and therefore a full UK driving license is required.
Applicants for this role must hold a good degree (2.1 or better) in a RICS accredited Building Surveying course. Ideally you will also have gained some industry experience in Building Surveying and be keen to continue your training and development. My client, a leading and award winning property management company with portfolios all over England, Scotland and Wales, are on the lookout for a motivated Service Charge Portfolio Manager to join their team in Birmingham.
You will be required to provide all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for our developments, collaborating with key stakeholders. You will also manage a team of service charge accountants ensuring business objectives are met, alongside legislative guidance.
Duties:
- Team Leadership and Performance: Lead and support team members to achieve high performance, including conducting performance reviews, coaching for skill development, and addressing issues in line with HR policies.
- Data Management and Reporting: Use reporting tools to manage workloads, ensure data accuracy, and create regular reports on team progress and challenges to inform decisions.
- Goal Monitoring and Decision-Making: Monitor KPIs to ensure team goals are met, analyse data to balance workloads, and make confident decisions that align with organisational objectives.
- Communication and Issue Resolution: Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly, including organising and leading calls to address unresolved queries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience within Service Charge Accounts in a managerial role
- Good knowledge and high attention to detail in financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (property management software is a plus).
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, three days WFH / week , free parking onsite
