Senior Electrical Engineer - Bicester
Excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to step into a Senior position, and play a key part in in the growth of an expanding M&E team within an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy.
Location: Bicester
Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 + Package Benefits
Job Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy to assist with expanding their M&E Team who focus on Data Centre Projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and project teams to develop electronic designs for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
- Develop detailed diagrams of electrical installations and coordinate with other disciplines to allocate initial space reservations for equipment and infrastructure.
- Utilize 3D Revit/BIM software to model electrical installations based on diagrams and coordinated space reservations, ensuring accuracy and compatibility with other building systems.
- Address any design challenges or modifications during the construction phase, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to project timelines
- Actively participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing input and feedback to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical engineering and data center construction, incorporating best practices into project designs and processes.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support the construction and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of electrical engineering design and construction.
Experience:
- A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ideally 2-3 years relevant work experience within the construction industry
- Experience with Revit / CAD software

The Design Coordinator is a Project Manager for the design team, interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders. Taking a lead in meetings to ensure the design process is being delivered correctly, with any modifications undertaken, recorded and updated across the systems and associated stakeholders.
Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:
- Co-ordinates with the design teams and other relevant parties to gather information on the coordination documents showing interface clashes with third parties.
- Monitor and manage the Interface management, communicating any technical issues relative to interfaces from the Design to Delivery teams.
- Participate in the resolution of any technical issues relative to the integration of systems.
- Takes part in internal workshop/design review meetings.
- Conducts design review meetings and drafts the minutes.
- Follows up with stakeholders to ensure milestones are being achieved on time.
