Job Title: Head of Solutions Design

Job Duties :
- Motivate, mentor, and lead a team of solutions designers, cultivating a high-performance culture centred on innovation, excellence, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Work closely with department leaders and key stakeholders to ensure solutions are seamlessly integrated into broader operations and are fully aligned with client expectations.
- Drive the creation of advanced, industry-leading logistics and supply chain solutions, ensuring all designs meet or exceed market standards and best practices.
- Steer internal and external stakeholders - including management teams and subject matter experts - through a structured and timely solution design process, maintaining a strong focus on quality and deliverability.
- Ensure all proposed solutions adhere strictly to relevant industry regulations and internal policies, upholding the company's reputation for operational integrity and excellence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams, advocating for client needs while effectively showcasing the company's solution capabilities and value propositions.
- Lead and manage multiple work streams simultaneously, identifying risks, mitigating issues early, and maintaining control over critical project tasks to ensure successful delivery.

Privately owned and family run practice of specialist consulting engineers require an experienced Cad/BIM Manager to join their team.
They provide services worldwide for ports and harbour engineering and container terminals across the globe. Experience of working on similar projects would be advantageous. They are a dynamic and successful team. The firm has an excellent reputation in its specialist field and has been running for many years.
You should be a confident team player with experience in areas such as reinforced concrete, steel piles and structures, bridges, wharf structures, jetties, container terminals, quay structures, heavy duty pavements and marine design (e.g breakwaters etc.) .
The position is full time at the Kingston office with the possibility of occasional short international trips, and includes medical insurance, 25 days holiday and pension in addition to basic salary.
The role will involve managing all CAD/BIM deliverables across the company's UK and international offices. You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met and providing guidance to junior technicians.
Main responsibilities:
- Oversee all CAD/BIM project deliverables using cutting-edge software
- Develop standards and strategies to enhance efficiency
- Guide modelling, drawing production and library management
- Share your expertise through training and mentoring CAD technicians
- Support estimating and business development activities
- Travel occasionally to client sites and other company offices
