I'm working with a highly regarded construction consultancy in London that's looking to add an MRICS Building Surveyor to its growing team. This is a role packed with variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on some of the capital's most interesting buildings.

With a strong pipeline of work across high-end residential, commercial offices, education, and heritage sectors, this consultancy offers a genuinely supportive environment where career development is encouraged and flexibility is part of the culture.

The Role:

  • Undertake building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, and project delivery
  • Manage your own projects from initial instruction to completion
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing clear, practical advice
  • Opportunity to mentor junior surveyors (if that's something you enjoy)

What I'm Looking For:

  • MRICS-qualified (or very close to it)
  • Broad Building Surveying experience across both professional and project services
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Comfortable working across Central London and nearby areas

Our client:

Our client is an established environmental consultancy with multiple offices from South of England all the way up to Scotland.

They are looking to grow their Scottish team with the addition of an Associate Director to take part in the company's multiple projects and find new ways to apply ecological principles collaboratively.

The role:

The position requires proven experience of project management at directory level, with a technical multidisciplinary background, including renewables for successful project delivery. Commercial acumen is essential for business growth as well as strong team leadership to oversee the ecology team and mentor the more junior staff. The position offers development opportunities to step into a full leadership position in the future too.

Salary package ranging between £70,000 and £80,000 depending on experience. Hybrid week available.

Associate Director Environmental Planning

About the Role

Our client is a global industry leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. They operate within multiple industries with projects ranging across sectors such as water, residential and commercial, defence, transport infrastructure, energy and renewables.

They are seeking an Environmental Planning Associate Director or Technical Director to join their Environment, Sustainability & Planning team in the UK, with multiple point of hires available: London, Manchester, Leicester, Leeds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects, teams, stakeholders and subcontractors
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure timely delivery of those projects in accordance to budget and standards
  • Alongside the Head of Environmental Impact Assessment, coordinate the EIA strategy of those projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive EIA reports and reviews.
  • DCO coordination experience will be beneficial
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge in business development and client management (new markets, bidding process, contract reviews etc.)

Skills & Attributes

Our client is looking for an experience Environmental Planning professional with over 10 years experience in this field.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's in related field with comprehensive technical background and strong leadership, as well as commercial acumen for business development purposes.
