Role: Legal Counsel Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Location: York Portakabin are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our legal team at our Head Office in York on a permanent basis. You'll be part of a successful and growing business with ambitious plans. This role may appeal to a newly qualified Legal professional, or someone in practice looking for a challenging role, with a business that promotes and offers work life balance. You will report to, and be supported by the Head of Legal - you'll undertake an interesting variety of work with high levels of responsibility and exposure to the business. As Legal Counsel, you will;
  • Undertake contractual work including accurately drafting, reviewing, advising upon and negotiating contractual engagements with customers (public and private sector) and suppliers. Manage a variety of contracts, including standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC etc), bespoke customer contracts and frameworks, collaboration agreements, standard supplier terms and amendments to Portakabin terms and conditions (hire and sale).
  • You will be required to support the business and negotiate directly with customers and suppliers.
