Our client are a growing civil engineering consultancy with a growing order book of work, based in Greater Belfast area. They are looking to add to their team with a civil engineer who has ideally gained some previous experience on site working for contractors previously. Due to solid and continuous growth in the company's order book they are looking to grow their team. The company is able to offer diverse experience in a number of regulated markets, supported by very experienced managers who have worked across a number of different sectors of civil engineering and can pass down their knowledge. They are also interested in supporting you on your journey towards chartership.

Duties

As a Civil Engineer you will be working in an established team to ensure that construction programs and schedules are created and maintained. You will be looking at designs and identifying clashes, all the time whilst liaising and working closely with your line manager. You will be creating method statements and plans and liaison with clients and third parties.

Requirements

You should hold a civil engineering degree or equivalent.
You must hold a UK drivers licence.
Ideally gained some years of on site experience within civil engineering contractors.
A cscs card would be beneficial but not essential.

• Hourly Rate: £14.85 per hour + additional hourly rate between £0.25 p/h to £4.38 p/h based on skill set and behaviours.

• Contract type: Permanent
• Annual leave: 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
• Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, 0745 to 1630 hours Monday to Thursday and 0745 to 1530 hours on Fridays, with 45 mins for lunch each day (unpaid)

Role Responsibilities * Ensure compliance relevant Health and Safety practices and all applicable legislation, * Plan and undertake the preparation/decoration of all external product surfaces, * Apply internal finishing such as internal partitions, trims, configure interior layout, painting, * Carry out basic joinery tasks inclusive of partition walls, doors, windows etc, * Carry out basic plumbing tasks inclusive of sink and toilet assembly, waste and drainage, copper and push fit fittings etc confirming drawing details, * Undertake basic electrics inclusive of installing trunking and cable runs ,sockets, heaters, lighting etc, supporting in the preparation and first fix, under the supervision of an electrician, * Prepare units for safe transport, * Install / Dismantle buildings e.g. connections to utilities, staircases, linkways, * Support craning in/out of buildings, * Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements, * Attend rectifications at client sites, interacting with our customers in a professional manner. * Assist where required in the general fitting out and refurbishment of buildings both on and off site.
