"At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Document Controller who is proficient in AutoCad to join our client's growing team in Carlow. This is a full-time role and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a well-established company working in the water industry. The role may be suited to someone with an engineering background, but this is not a pre-requisite. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:

Document Control:

  • Responsible for coordinating multiple project documentations. Records must be maintained, kept up-to-date and archived correctly.
  • Preparation of Commissioning Plans and updating in line with Client requirements.
  • Developing of O&M Manuals for construction projects.
  • Development Site Safety Folders and updating and maintaining same.
  • Development of Environmental Management Plans and updating and maintaining same.
  • Development of Factory Acceptance Test Documents (FAT).
  • Development of Site Acceptance Test Documents (SAT).
  • Keeping project trackers up to date.
  • Update the Project Registers, Drawing Register and Technical Submittal Register whenever a technical submittal is submitted or when Client has commented on one.
  • Uploading of Documentation to online Project and Client platforms.

CAD Capabilities:

  • Proficient in the use of computers for design and understanding CAD operations.
  • General knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design.
  • Generating 2D drawings or 3D models of engineering designs by using CAD software.

Experience you need:

  • Proven experience of at least 1-2 years in document control.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor vacancy with a successful, commercial Building Consultancy based in Birmingham city centre.

We're now looking for an ambitious individual to join this small, but highly successful team of Building Surveyors. They have a great opportunity on offer for a recent graduate in Building Surveying to train and gain experience with them, whilst working towards gaining your MRICS qualification. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to support on a range of instructions including project work as well as professional surveying such as Building Surveys, dilapidations and due diligence. Work is generally across the midlands area so there will be some travel and therefore a full UK driving license is required.

Applicants for this role must hold a good degree (2.1 or better) in a RICS accredited Building Surveying course. Ideally you will also have gained some industry experience in Building Surveying and be keen to continue your training and development. We're looking for an ambitious and proactive individual who will benefit from support and guidance. Someone keen to push themselves and eager to learn.
