We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a reputable local contractor specialising in social housing maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of domestic properties, delivering high-quality repairs and refurbishments.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a wide range of reactive repairs and planned maintenance tasks in both occupied and void properties, including but not limited to, installing or repairing doors and windows, lock changes, repairing worktops and kitchen units, fitting new bathrooms, general plumbing repairs, painting and decorating, and plastering.
  • Using an electronic hand-held device to receive instructions, provide feedback electronically, and log details of works undertaken or to be undertaken.
  • Providing excellent customer service and representing the housing provider in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)

This is a static role based entirely on one housing estate - no travel between sites. While you won't be issued a van or fuel card, there is a pool van available on the estate for operatives to use during the day if needed, so you'll need a full UK manual driving licence.

  • Performing a comprehensive range of responsive repairs, maintenance tasks, and planned works.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical faults reported by tenants.
