Junior Credit Controller (4 day work week) - Bromley - £25,000 to £27,000 plus excellent benefits!

My client, a bespoke residential Block Management firm based in Bromley, are seeking a Junior Credit Controller to play a pivotal part in managing their finances, ensuring seamless credit control processes, and reconciling bank accounts with precision.

Be a part of a vibrant, supportive company that values its employees' growth and well-being. The team will be covering a portfolio of 600 approximately residential blocks.

For the last year, the company have been trialling out the four day work week pilot, they foresee this continuing however this is subject to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Receipting payments made by lessees to their service charge account.
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Overseeing arrears and actioning credit control procedures
  • Answering service charge and credit control queries from leaseholders
  • Transferring funds where required
  • General administration where required
  • System maintenance using Block Management System (Blockman)
  • General bookkeeping for invoices, receipts, cheques, utility payments and other supplier payments


Skills and attributes:

  • Credit control / accounts administration experience or a numerical background either professionally or studies
  • Experience within property is desired

Hours:
After the 6 month probation: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, work from home 5 days / month
During 6 month probation: office based in Bromley Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

You will be responsible for pre entry surveys, disconnections and reconnections. This is a field-based role requiring excellent technical knowledge, customer service skills, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Own vehicle and tools will be required for this position. Mileage paid for mileage between jobs.

Responsibilities:

    Pre entry surveys

    Carry out routine gas servicing and safety checks in accordance with current regulations.

    Maintain accurate records of work completed using handheld devices or job sheets.

    Ensure all works comply with Gas Safe, health & safety, and relevant compliance standards.

    Communicate clearly with tenants, housing officers, and coordinators.

    Contribute to a positive customer experience and uphold the company's reputation.

Requirements:

  • Gas Safe Registration
  • Proven experience in social housing or domestic property maintenance.

    Valid UK driving licence.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

One of my clients who are a small but well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy are looking to add a bright and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to their supportive team, based in Shoreditch, London.

The Company

The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a small but well established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy who work in a range of sectors Across London and the Southeast. They are currently a team of 10 Quantity Surveyors and don't have massive growth plans.

As a company their bread and butter is commercial fit out projects, both CAT A & B and Cut & Carve and New Build. But they also cover Education, Commercial, Heritage, Hotels and High-End Residential projects.

The role of the Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor will come in and take responsibility for leading projects and developing junior staff, with a progression pathway in sight, within the company.

As much as their bread and butter is commercial the Quantity Surveyor will come in and work on High End Residential and Education Projects.

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will need to produce cost plans, advise on cost options, produce tender documents, contract administration and Employer's Agent service and negotiate and agree interim valuations, variations and final accounts.

The Quantity Surveyor

  • BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree
  • MRICS or currently working towards
  • Experience within a private practice / consultancy
  • Strong Pre and post contract knowledge
  • Excellent attitude and team player
  • Able to support with mentoring junior colleagues
