Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large or complex fire engineering projects, taking full ownership of deliverables
- Provide technical expertise on fire safety strategies, performance-based designs, and complex problem-solving
- Review and approve technical submissions from subcontractors and consultants
- Lead design team meetings, workshops, and client presentations
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their professional development
- Represent the consultancy with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and at project meetings
- Keep up to date with UK legislation, guidance, and industry best practices, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Fire Engineering (BEng/BSc/MSc) and Chartered (or near completion)
- Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions for UK projects
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and design standards
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams concurrently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- UK driving licence preferred but not essential
