A well-established local contractor specialising in social housing maintenance is looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity to carry out high-quality repairs and refurbishments across a range of domestic social housing properties.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out a variety of responsive repairs across void and occupied social housing properties.
- Repairing or replacing skirting boards, architraves, internal door frames, locks, handles, and hinges.
- Identifying and resolving minor plumbing issues, including leaks, taps, and blocked sinks.
- Completing patch plastering and making good damaged walls or ceilings.
- Undertaking wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
- Painting and decorating to a high professional standard following repair works.
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the company positively.
- Using a handhold electronic device to receive job instructions, update progress, and log completed works.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)

This hands-on role involves working directly in tenants' homes to diagnose and resolve damp and mould issues, helping to improve living conditions and prevent future problems.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance work related to damp and mould in both occupied and vacant properties.
- Following all policies and procedures to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Supporting the delivery of a competitive, cost-effective repairs service across various types of work, including day-to-day maintenance, void refurbishments, cyclical tasks, and servicing activities.
- Meeting performance targets by completing tasks on time and to the required quality standard.
- Taking responsibility for your own health and safety, and ensuring the safety of colleagues and residents.
- Completing minor maintenance tasks, including first-line plumbing, carpentry, and plastering as required.
- Performing duties in a semi-skilled labouring role, adapting to a variety of work demands.
