Your Role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor will include:
* Managing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
* Understanding and addressing stakeholder requirements
* Assisting in the commercial delivery of projects
* Supporting the preparation of cost forecasts to ensure projects stay on budget and meet deadlines

The Ideal Candidate will have:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, with progress toward MRICS accreditation
* Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within in civil engineering or construction
* A full, clean driver's license
* Willingness to travel as required
* Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts

Are you a General Labourer and interested in working on the largest critical infrastructure project in Europe?

Our client has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across a 225km section of the new high speed rail link between Euston and Birmingham, and we are proud to supply General Labourer, among many other skilled trades and labour across multiple sites and projects.

Presently, the scope of works includes viaducts, shafts, tunnelling, road diversions, overbridges and over 100 million cubic metres of excavation, over the course of the next 4+ years.

Job role:

- Working alongside a variety of other trades people, such as Multiskilled, Pipelayers, Joiners, Steel fixers etc

- Providing detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is always kept up to date

- Using your own initiative to solve problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support as required

Successful applicants will need:

- CSCS Green

- Proven previous experience alongside trades people (ideally previous groundworks experience) - Driving licence and own vehicle due to the location and role

Pay rate: £13.43 per hour. After 39 hours per week, the rate goes up to £20.14per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts

Digs provided over 50 miles - 6 days paid for 5 days worked

Contract type:

PAYE only

Location: Buckinghamshire to Oxfordshire

Duration: This section of the HS2 contract is currently until 2026

Benefits include: - PAYE contract, weekly direct pay, long-term work

- Holiday pay - 29 days a year

- Continuous improvement scheme and upskilling on site

- Fantastic overtime rates
