Summary

The Partnerships Manager will work alongside the Partnerships Director and Regional Land Directors to pursue opportunities and develop links with local authorities, Homes England, or housing associations to work in partnership on development schemes, possibly in conjunction with other developers, to meet and add to the Group and regional business plan and future growth requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Identify suitable affordable housing opportunities and developments in partnership with RSLs, Housing Associations and other developers, working with regional land teams to prepare and bring forward initial joint-development briefs and integrated proposals for viable affordable housing opportunities/ projects.
  • Provide support to Gleeson Homes land teams in the negotiation of s106 agreements with Local Authorities, including renegotiation of existing s106 agreements, with the aim of reducing unnecessary and excessive planning obligations;
  • Work alongside the Partnerships Director and Regional Land Teams to meet with local authorities, Homes England, strategic landowners and Registered Providers to develop relationships and partnerships.
  • Assist with the legal and due diligence processes associated with any partnership deals or frameworks;
  • Assisting with the monitoring and reporting on the delivery of the Gleeson Homes Affordable Housing Strategy
  • Be part of developing business relationships and communications with all key internal and external stakeholders in support of the achievement of the Gleeson Homes Affordable Housing Strategy.
  • Lead by example, upholding the Gleeson values and develop others to become role models to implement, uphold and promote the Gleeson business model and culture.
  • At all times comply with responsibilities under the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies, procedures and instructions
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.

Key Business Deliverables

  • Development and effectiveness of our Affordable Housing Strategy and activity
  • Maximise income/margins from S106 and nonS106 deals
  • Partnership creation and relationship improvement with Homes England, registered providers and investment vehicles
  • Delivery of key elements that support Gleeson's controlled growth plan.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be Passionate, respectful and collaborative;
  • Financial and commercial acumen;
  • Knowledge of the Homes England acquisition process;
  • Knowledge of affordable housing policy and key Government programmes which could impact on the Gleeson Homes business model;
  • Strong inter-personal, negotiation and communication skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and across multiple projects;
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to convert this thinking into successful delivery plans;
  • The suitable candidate may have experience of partnership working (i.e. JV, consortiums), though this is not essential.
