Do you have experience in passive Fire-stopping? Do you want to upskill and get training on the new fire legislation?

We are keen to explore Package Managers with operational backgrounds and with some relevant experience in fire-stopping or Design Managers from Build experience who can Identify the need for fire testing requirements and manage specifications. Furthermore, they have the ability to work with fire consultants and design teams to ensure routes to compliance are defined for all PFP specific to their plot.

What will the role look like?

  • Ensures all PFP documentation relating to the plot is uploaded through Asite and is in line with project protocols
  • Assisting the project procurement team in selecting a Specialist Firestopping Contractor.
  • Assisting in the production of a Passive Fire-stopping scope of works
  • Assisting in the production of an attendance schedule
  • Advising on programme requirements
  • Assistance in analysing of tender returns
  • Engages specialists (in-house and external) as required to manage complex PFP solutions?
  • Reviews and validates project design and delivery programme through PTL?
  • Ensures PFP information is available to relevant parties
  • Works with MEICA Fire Team to define routes to compliance where proprietary solutions cannot be achieved and manage processes to achieve compliance (EAs, EJs, testing etc.)
  • Uses Field View to monitor works on site, details are installed correctly and records completed and closed out to LOR standards
  • Reviews subcontractor E-docs (or other Health & Safety File platform) uploads and ensures information is accurate

What experience are we looking for?

  • Ensures all PFP documentation relating to the plot is uploaded through Asite is in line with project protocols
  • Ensuring that the sub-contractor has a robust process for recording and certifying the fire-stopped penetrations and coordinating third-party record keeping (bi-weekly documentation downloads
  • Able to work across functions, from pre-construction to Handover
  • Liaise with the commercial team as required.
  • Exercise commercial control in agreement with project commercial/contract protocols with respect to how and when instructions are issued etc.
