Protocol are seeking an experienced and professional individual holding experience in teaching lower level learners and excellent classroom management for a Pathways Lecturing post in Nottingham. As one of the largest further education providers in the country, this college offers a huge range of vocational and academic courses, helping their students find routes into higher education or their dream career.

This particular post will see the successful individual supporting learners on Pathways programmes to enhance their social, soft and academic skills to enable them to enrol on Vocational courses at this college. You will have excellent classroom manage as well as the ability to adapt teaching and learning strategies to cater for individual learning needs through a range of methods.

Role responsibilities
Completing all planning and reparation for lessons
Adhering to college policies including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding
Teaching a 0.6 FTE timetable across three days per week
Contribute to curriculum planning if necessary
Attend any relevant staff meetings if applicable
Support students both pastorally and academically
Motivating students to excel in their subject area
The person & qualifications
You must have a recognised teaching qualification
Have a minimum of a L3 in a relevant subject / degree
Recent experience of teaching SEN learners or Supported Learning/Pathways courses
Must be enthusiastic and inspiring to learners
Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
