Our Head Office located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join the Group Payroll Team. The Role The role of Payroll Administrator, works as part of the payroll team is to ensure the accurate inputting and timely processing of 15 weekly payrolls. Principle accountabilities of the Payroll Administrator role include: Accurate end to end processing of the 15 weekly payrolls within tight timescales. Manually key timesheet information into the payroll system. Process starters, leavers and changes, ensuring the correct authorisation has been provided. Prepare payslips on a weekly basis. Administer sickness, absence, court orders and student loans accordingly. Complete manual calculations, as and when required. Complete end of end processing and reconciliation including payment summaries, P45s, P60s and P11Ds. Ensure payroll queries are dealt with in a timely manner. Complete HMRC filing. Deal with pension auto-enrolment and pension queries. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working as a Payroll Administrator or similar in a busy payroll environment processing multiple payrolls for around 500 to 1,000 employees end to end. Experience of working with a computerised payroll system. Experience of working with the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC)’s working rule agreement is desirable. Understanding of GDPR regulations Qualifications and Training GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) Skills and Aptitude Excellent organisation with the ability to meet tight deadlines Excellent numerical, written and communication skills A good eye for detail and maintain accuracy Ability to work on own as well as part of a team High integrity and respecting data confidentiality Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked and able to cover team holidays when required.
