We have an exciting opportunity for a Pensions Manager to join our team in the Group Reward & Pensions Centre of Expertise, to drive our Pensions strategy and policy and to be the lead subject matter expert on Pensions.

Location: Home Based Role
Business Unit: Kier Group Services
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent, able to consider part-time opportunities

Key Responsibilities

In this Pensions Manager role, your role will involve, but not be limited to:

  • To be the lead pensions expert within the Group and the "go to person" for guidance on all matters pension related.
  • Management of the Group's defined benefit and defined contributions pension plans aligned with the Group's strategy, legislation changes and best practice.
  • Ensuring employer regulatory obligations are met in respect of pension benefit provision.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, process arrangements and clear roles and responsibilities exist between employer, providers, governance committee and pensions trustees to ensure effective decision making and management of conflicts of interests.
  • Develop and deliver the defined contributions plan communications strategy.
  • Work with external investment advisers and actuaries to ensure the mitigation of scheme risk and maximisation of return on scheme assets (for an agreed risk profile) for each defined benefit scheme.

    What are we looking for?

    A proven track record in consulting with clients in a mainstream employee benefits firm or in-house pensions departments. You'll also have strong knowledge of the legislation surrounding employer-sponsored pension schemes, and previous experience of dealing with the Pensions Regulator. You'll have a solid understanding of how varying stakeholders can meet the statutory objectives within the context of the regulatory environment.
