Our Integrated Maintenance & Repair (IMR) Alliance is responsible for providing our customers with safe cleaning drinking water through a network of 37,000km of pipes. This new role will be pivotal in ensuring that our maintenance and repair activities on the network, are managed effectively and efficiently to our customers expectations.
To be accountable for the end- to end development and delivery of the TOTEX (Total Expenditure) Works and Maintenance programmes and tactical optimisation, we are looking for a Planned Works Manger to drive outstanding network operability, availability efficiency and reliability to delight our customers.
What will you be doing?
As our new Planned Works Manager, you'll drive the correct levels of collaboration and integration with strategic Water Services teams to ensure programmes are fully aligned to TOTEX principles and enable teams to deliver industry leading processes to established time, cost and quality parameters.
Working closely with the Optimisation teams, you'll help provide valuable data and insight to enhance future maintenance programmes and minimise the impact on the network and customers at all times.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on the development, monitoring, review and reporting on the IMR Water TOTEX delivery solutions to out-perform expectations where possible.
- Ensure opportunities to improve delivery efficiencies are identified and provided.
- Engage appropriate stakeholders to contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of Capital delivery programme outputs.
- Develop a maintenance strategy for all existing pressure managed assets by using accurate and up-to-date data to determine the frequency of repair activity.
- Effectively manage the use of internal and external resources to meet required outputs to agreed quality, standards and time- frames.
- Be viewed as the Tactical Optimisation and Engineering subject matter expert where safety and quality are viewed as important as completion on all activities.
- Reduce operational risk by implementing processes to identify and rectify network configuration issues and retain as much control of the network as possible.
- Act as a motivational leader where creativity, innovation and transparency are embraced and individuals are coached and mentored to enhance their careers and overall organisational capability.
What do you need?
As our next Planned Works Manager, you'll have significant experience in a Senior Operational/ Management role in a Water services environment and demonstrate excellent and proven leadership skills. With the ability to assess risks and make decisions with incomplete information, you'll work with an infectious enthusiasm which encourages others to adopt a proactive and positive approach to complex challenges. With the ability to think strategically, you'll understand how to professionally challenge current norms to enhance working practices.
You'll have a track record of delivering in a collaborative environment and be able to translate high level strategy into day-to-day activities at al levels of the business. Your proven analytical skills will allow you to drive your teams towards commercial goals and exceed customer expectations.
